What is the Quizzes tool?

The iCollege Quiz tool allows instructors to create and manage quizzes for their students. It is a powerful tool that can be used to assess student learning, track student progress and provide feedback. Quizzes can be used for formative or summative assessment. In addition, the Quiz tool can be used for creating questionnaires or course surveys.

The Quiz tool offers a variety of different types of questions—most of which can be automatically graded when a student submits their quiz. Question types that can be auto-graded include True/False, Multiple Choice, Multi-Select, Matching, Ordering and Fill in the Blanks. The Written Response question type can be used for essay or long-form free response questions. The Written Response Question type is not auto-graded.

The Quiz Tool is fully integrated with iCollege, including the iCollege gradebook and the iCollege calendar.

How to Access Quizzes:

The Quiz tool is available to all iCollege courses as a part of the learning management system. You can access it through Assessments on the Nav Bar in your iCollege course or from the Course Admin page.

  • Create summative assessment at the end of a course or unit.
  • Use the quiz tool to create course surveys to gauge student satisfaction with elements of the course.
