The little pink cherry blossoms are starting to bloom around the island I live on, and even though we had some snow last week, spring is coming! It’s time to start gathering materials and making lesson plans packed with spring activities for your preschool classroom! Spring Garden Circle Time Lesson Plan This lesson plan uses one of my favorite spring garden books; Lola Plants A Garden!
Nature Smash Painting – get colorful and messy naturally!
Nature Prints with Playdough – I never get tired of this fantastic sensory activity, it’s perfect for spring!
Cutting Nature – fine motor skill development and nature all in one! I love garden-themed spring preschool activities like this!
Vegetable Garden Sensory Bin– This simple sensory activity was a huge hit with my class and it is so easy to make! Check out how my students use it here on Instagram.
Flower Sticky Wall—This is a fun spring garden activity for preschoolers and provides a sensory experience. You don’t even need to use flowers; you can use anything found in the garden.
Up in the grass or down in the dirt? This simple sorting game helps children identify what living things are found above ground or below the grass and flowers. It’s a great preschool activity for spring.

Flower Math Tray perfect for math centers and small group

Walmart has these bunny trays right now!
Ants On A Log math tray activity
Count and Bead Flowers are easy to make with only masking tape and pipe cleaners!
Butterfly Number Match with free printable!
Bug Jar Math works on fine motor skills, counting, and writing numerals. We used bug stickers for a little novelty, but children could draw them, too!
Mix your art and math centers together with shape printing. Easter eggs make great circles, but did you know thatunifix cubes make awesome art tools, too?
