Participate And Assist

What will you do to assist your mentor in setting up a conductive learning environment in the following condition:

1. Bulletin Board Display

FIELD STUDY 2 - Issuu (4)

As a future teacher, I will help my mentor create a favorable learning environment in terms of the bulletin by suggesting some innovative ideas where the content of the bulletin is accurate to the subject matter, caters to the needs of the learners, and inspires the learners to work harder and study harder. We are all aware of how crucial material displayed on bulletin boards is for educating pupils and even offers transparency regarding their accomplishments and other things.

2. Small Group Discussion

By asking him or her to give me the honor of giving instructions/instruction in each group, I will help my mentor create a suitable learning atmosphere in terms of small group discussion. I'll make sure that every group of students and learners works together to complete the task. I will also assist in providing various educational resources to each group and assisting/guiding them throughout activities. Finally, I will make sure that each group is orderly by forcing them to concentrate on their task and to stay away from distractions in other groups.

3. Checking class attendance in a virtual classroom ( i.e Google meet or zoom)

By requesting my permission to conduct class attendance, I can help my mentor to create a supportive learning environment by monitoring student attendance in a virtual classroom. I'll employ an approach when taking attendance to make sure that the learners who are doing it online are paying attention. I will be in charge of keeping track of who is present and who is absent so that the teacher has less work to do. I will also ask them to open their cam when I am checking the attendance.

Learning Environment 1

What have you noticed of the display in the class bulletin board? What message or theme does it covey?

I saw that the classroom bulletin board depicts or conveys the essential things that the students should be aware of. In order to be found readily and, more significantly, to prevent necessary mishaps, it is mounted to the wall. Its vibrant and appealing design can grab the attention of both pupils and outside visitors to the space. The message or concept that it conveys is that it inspired students to work harder in every subject by making their accomplishments obvious. Additionally, it gives each student a challenge to always provide their best effort and encourages them to contribute to class in novel ways.

What makes it attractive to the learners?

The reason it appeals to students is that it displays attention-grabbing graphics and text on the bulletin boards. The color and design are suited for the learners' age, and even the color scheme was chosen carefully. Even though it is vibrant, it does not appear crowded, and the students can readily understand the content.

Does it help in the learning process? How?

It aids in the learning process by keeping the students informed of their progress so they can change their learning tactics and even put in extra effort to raise their academic standings. We must inform the students of their accomplishments because doing so will inspire them. They may even ask others to learn with them. A bulletin can educate students of announcements, significant occasions, and other information. Additionally, this can be used to motivate pupils and stay current on class activities, among other things.

Learning Environment 2

 If the teacher is using a distance delivery of learning through the modules, where is most likely the learning space of the students?

If the teacher uses distance delivery of learning remotely, the students' homes serve as their primary learning environments. When students try to answer their lectures and questions about the lessons covered in their modules but have inadequate or no internet access at home, they are prone to travel to places merely to access the internet.

 Can you describe?

Home is the most secure location for us to complete our tasks, assignments, and in taking classes online. Learning at home is pleasurable and less expensive because you simply need to pay for load and internet data to access the school's provided modules and attend lessons. Not all pupils, however, are fortunate enough to live in a safe and secure environment. Some pupils struggle to concentrate because they lack a learning center and even technology to utilize at home.

 How can you as a teacher help to make such environment conducive for learning?

As a teacher, I will speak with the parents of the students to go over what needs to be done to create a learning atmosphere that is conducive to learning. I'll ask them to set up a learning center at their separate homes where students can concentrate and there won't be any interruptions when they attend classes. Additionally, I'll make an effort to visit the learners' homes to assess their circ*mstances and establish a foundation for assistance. In order for the government to take action on this issue, such as giving gadgets to people who are struggling or even financial support, I will also ask for their assistance.

The examples above, describe two contrasting situations. The first shows that the learners are in the same room or space while in the second, the learners maybe in different learning spaces like homes, study hubs or in extreme cases parks or under the trees.

As a teacher, in which of the two situations would you prefer to manage for learning? Choose between Learning Environment 1 or Learning Environment 2

Explain your choice: Why?

Since it is ideal to have a face-to-face learning environment where the students feel at ease to study and can participate actively in the class, I find that Learning Environment 1 is the best learning environment to manage for. Physical interaction with my students will make me a more effective teacher in the future since it enables me to see what/where my pupils are missing and what else needs to be changed in the learning environment. I prefer to monitor my pupils' development so that I can enhance their skills, as opposed to online environments where there is no assurance that they are still learning or that their parents are in charge of their actions.

Based on my noticing and analysis, I realized that a. The presence of a classroom environment is crucial for learners to study efficiently because it will also help them develop social skills and more, which are drawbacks of holding lessons online or through modular distance learning. b. In order to make this type of education a part of our educational system as we are unsure of the pandemic situation, it is necessary to develop a supportive learning atmosphere, whether it be in person or online. c. As a future educator, I need to be imaginative enough and acquire the abilities necessary to create an innovative learning environment. Last but not least, it is my obligation to make sure that my students are exposed to learning environments that will help them feel safe and receive high-quality education.

OBSERVE

There are some potential issues that could arise from the two learning environments, but I believe the most pressing issue right now is how the teacher will continue to inspire the students to study and improve their communication skills while we are still recovering from the pandemic and face-to-face classes have only recently resumed.

REFLECT I believe the following are potential solutions to this issue:

1. Establish lasting and respectful connections with the pupils.

2. Develop a learning community in your class and even outside the walls of the institution.

3. Having class or group activities that allow the students to participate on their learning and involve everyone in the teaching and learning process

4. Create or employ a motivational strategy, such as a game-based strategy or a visualization technique, if necessary.

PLAN

To develop a teaching plan that will fulfill their needs and interests, I need to be aware of each other's interests. To help students improve their communication skills, I must establish a secure learning atmosphere where they feel free to express their ideas and opinions. Together, the student and the teacher must cooperate to create an environment that is conducive to learning. In order to understand more about the children's learning environments at each home, I will also communicate with their parents. I may even ask them for suggestions on how to enhance their child's learning. To meet the demands of my students, I will employ various learning strategies, and if necessary, I will also alter my teaching style.
