Berlin, October 5, 2018​ - HelloFresh, the global market leader in the meal-kit sector, is now available to customers in New Zealand.

With its vast menu of weekly recipes, often as many as 100 to choose from plus market items, HelloFresh is the most popular meal kit service in America. Other subscription services like Blue Apron, Home Chef and Sunbasket try to keep up, but HelloFresh is ahead of the pack by a huge margin.

HelloFresh shares plunged 42% on Friday after the company said it expected lower earnings in 2024. Adjusted EBITDA is seen at 448 million euros ($480 million) for fiscal 2023, down from 477 million euros the year before. In 2024, the company expects adjusted EBITDA to fall to between 350 million and 400 million euros.

The company blames this on the high costs of marketing and expanding their ready-to-eat business. Unfortunately, this business model is not doing well right now, and as a result, HelloFresh's stock price has dropped by almost 48% in just one day.

It's important to note that the meals on this plan may not be the healthiest options, as I found most of them to be quite carb-heavy and high in calories. Although HelloFresh does offer some healthy choices, the majority of the meals on this plan prioritize flavor over nutrition.
